W.F.L. (Work from London)

Remote work has majorly upped my travel game. From longer stints in South Carolina and Mississippi to a few extra days with my family in Michigan, it’s been a blessing to be so mobile and flexible. There’s honestly no going back for me!

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to tag along on my boyfriend’s work trip to London. My first endeavor working abroad and in a very different time zone. But you never know until you try. My boss and I agreed to a flexible schedule for the week and I was off!

My office for the week was the Kimpton Fitzroy London. A much boujier experience than we would ever splurge for on our own dime!

Glenn was off at meetings most days while I worked from the hotel. Each evening, we’d explore rainy London on foot or attend dinner with his colleagues. Thus why it’s very dark out in most of these photos.

The Fitzroy Tavern was my go-to pub during Study Abroad.

Blowing a fuse was a minor setback. Blame it on a converter from 2009.

It was a very successful week working remotely from London! The sun even made an appearance on our last day.

I found that I actually preferred starting work a few hours before my colleagues. Nothing gives you flow time quite like all of your co-workers being asleep!
